Manifesting Traditional Islamic Knowledge And Spirituality
To Benefit The Community Through Service

The Halal Food Bank in Melbourne is run entirely by volunteers and purely with donations, and aims to provide halal, nutritionally sound food to needy families, those who require crisis support, and asylum seekers on a monthly basis.

Recipients

The Halal Food Bank provides relief parcels to needy families, those who require crisis support, and to asylum seekers, partnering with organisations to distribute widely across Melbourne:

  • RISE Refugee
  • Hampton Park Children’s Home
  • The Migrant Hub
  • Islamic Council of Victoria
  • Ozanam Men’s Crisis Centre
  • Kara House Women’s Refuge
  • Australian Muslim Women’s Centre for Human Rights

Donate

We encourage people to be active in the donation process by making the effort to source and drop off the food items, thus nurturing giving, and upholding the Prophetic sunnah of service.

Cash donations are accepted but not encouraged, and are used toward essentials for Inventory and Packing days, such as packing boxes, tape, oil bottles, stickers and storage tubs.
